Black odachi or Nodachi is a traditional Japanese sword used by the feudal warrior class in Japan. It is a sword with a body of more than 90cm (35.8 in). It was mostly used in the battlefield before, but now it is mostly used for power-type chop training and is also used for honor guards. Because their length makes traditional heat treatment more complicated and more expensive.
