STRAIGHT BLADE SWORD

 In Japan, before the 9th century, there was a straight katana sword   called the chokuto. In the middle of the Heian period, it was replaced by the now common Japanese samurai sword, of which only the ninja sword is still a straight blade katana   . But in China or European countries,  most authentic swords are still straight blades.
